What we have learned over many years of selling balls, is that most people have misconceptions about balls. That’s why you should call us first.
So you know the size and material what else is there to think about? Considerations include not only the ball diameter but the ball diameter variation. Do you know all the ball materials available and how they will change your use? There’s also the Ball Grade, often buyers confuse the Grade number. You also have to consider the Basic Diameter Tolerance, the Deviation from Spherical Form, the Lot Diameter Variation, Passivation, Surface Roughness, Waviness and much more to consider.
The worst thing you could do is base your order on what you think you know. You could be missing one or more critical factors. If that happens often the balls are either useless and get thrown out and a new order has to be done, or worse yet, cause more serious problems in your applications if they fail or damage other things in the course of their misuse.
